It all started back in 2005 when Chris Giantomidis decided to align his decades of carpentry experience with his passion for wine in order to construct custom wine cellars instead of participating in the boring cookie cutter theme of today’s home building industry.  

 

With our family’s help the name we chose for the company was Cava; a term used to refer to a type of table wine from Spain, also the slang for a cellar in Greek.  

 

We started out as a one man show in a one car garage converted to a workshop.  After a few years it became apparent that Cava Wine Cellars needed to expand and so the company doubled in size when Chris’s son Niko came aboard.  A larger and up to date facility to accommodate more projects is the next step and is slowly being built in between cellar projects.  

 

Every new cellar becomes a fond memory as well as the looks on our clients’ faces when they see their new cellar completed for the first time. That’s what keeps us going and keeps us so committed to our work, delivering a wine cellar that leaves them speechless.  

The cellars we build are much more than just another project to us, we dedicate ourselves to it wholeheartedly and do everything we can to have the client fall in love with their cellar as much as we loved building it.
